In collaboration with the City of Wyndham, I’ve embarked on an endeavour to create the largest mural ever painted by an Indigenous artist in Australia.

Artwork's Muse
This monumental artwork paints a vivid narrative. A central blue river mirrors the Werribee River’s flow, while Bunurong Country below resounds with celebrations of identity and kinship. Blue circles echo freshwater springs, signifying the movement across basalt country, etching generations’ footprints into time. Yellow hues evoke the coastal environment, and ancestral connection, embodied by Bunjil, weaves through the design. Gum leaves extend a warm welcome through a smoking ceremony.
Meaning Communicated
The mural’s upper realm radiates hope, while the lower section unveils the present and future, where the footprints of those in the City of Wyndham are etched into the land, forging a brighter path forward.

The wall is X meters by X meters and took X days/weeks to paint using X foot booms to reach the upper most portions of the wall.

The Holiday Inn donated the wall to the City of Wyndham so we could create this mural for the community. NAME, Mayor officially presented the mural as a gift to the city.

Get to know me
Capturing the essence of country is everything, vividly etched in my memories as young Gunditjmara, Yorta Yorta and Wemba Wemba man. Its intricate tapestry unfolds as the seasons dance on the precipice of change, leaving an indelible mark on the land while its essence remains constant.
Through my artistic lens, I paint the world as seen with an Aboriginal perspective, envisaging the spirits living in harmony with the people and animals. Seamlessly melding traditional and contemporary art forms, I provide a visual voice to acknowledge where we came from and moving towards a bright future.
Country possesses a certain magic, an elusive quality that is capable of transforming landscapes in mere seconds. I capture the sense of place in my work – and endeavour to convey this essence, where the mystical allure of country unfolds before eyes.

My design process
In the hearth of each submission lies an envisioned artwork that weaves a profound narrative – a testament to the unbreakable connection of country. My art is a celebration of identity, spirituality and age-old ceremonies, resonating through time with people being at the centre.
I draw upon the elements of the natural landscape, embodying the spirit of connection to the spiritual and physical world and our connection to all things we hold sacred – our connection to family and community and the role we play in harmony and balance with women.
Each masterpiece encapsulates ceremonial spaces, etched in time and tradition, where our peoples’ have gathered since the dawn of existence. Each brushstroke, a harmonious ode to the land and a tribute to our ancestral heritage.
